I had the extraordinary opportunity to join the Hat Ladies of Charleston in meeting several United Nations Ambassadors at a luncheon hosted by extraordinary and plenipotentiary Permanent Representative of Romania to the U.N. Ambassador Simona-Mirela Miculescu. 

Here is what I saw:

Black and White Outfits and Hats


Several Ambassadors and staff started with a monochromatic outfit and some added a pop of color with a hat. 


 Color

 A few ladies started with color, coordinating hat and outfits or other accessories.


 How to Wear a Turban

 Glossy hair, lip gloss, black outfit. The definition of how to wear a turban.

 Small Brim Winter Hats

I loved this look. Works with a suit or coordinating dress/top.

  12. I think the indoor hats looked fabulous. All of their outfits were tasteful and not over the top. Most women could create outfits like these. Indoor hats with smaller brims make sense. Outdoor hats usually are wider brimmed. Black and white never seems to go out of fashion. Thanks for sharing this event with us.
